In Porto and S. Tiago de Riba-Ul, Portugal , we offer development services for product and process development, from the manufacturing of tools to advice and project management during the prototype and pilot phases.
The development divisions network together on tool manufacturing, die-casting and subsequent machining. By doing this, we can optimise, already in the product development phase, the entire production process in terms of cost-effectiveness and quality.
With professional know-how, use of modern CAD systems as well as simulations of mould filling and solidification, advice on materials and component testing, we are ready to assist our customers in implementing their ideas from the beginning on.

High-value die-cast tools are the basis for high-quality casting that can easily be reproduced.
Porto is the site of our state-of-the-art tool manufacturing facility for die-cast moulds and trimming tools. There, the tool design is implemented to perfection using complex CAM systems and modern machine tools. As a Group, our strengths lie in the rapid prototype and technical-release procedure.
The result is the perfect tool for high-quality die-cast products.

 
SLM CASTINGS
We shape aluminium

In S. Tiago de Riba-Ul, the SLM Group makes aluminium die-cast products.
State-of-the-art techniques for die-casting machines and a high degree of automation guarantee high-quality casting that can be easily reproduced. In addition, we are able to work with various processes to improve cast parts, from melting techniques to squeeze pins and vacuum assistance.
Throughout the entire process, state-of-the-art CNC measuring and X-ray machines, operator control and the analysis of 3D X-ray CT scanning guarantee consistent high-quality products.

 
SLM COMPONENTS

We arrange the perfect finish

The manufacturing site for the machining and assembling of light metal components is located in S. Tiago de Riba-Ul.
The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility boosts automated CNC machines, part-specific special purpose machines, washing systems, pressurised testing facilities, a laboratory for analysing residual dirt and assembling machines. Light metal castings for both in-house and external customers are manufactured at this facility. Currently standard parts are already being assembled there. Following the requirements of our customers, we aim for expanding our capacity for order-related assembling.
